  • Fresh, vibrant, and beautifully herbaceous, this Spring Garden Margarita is a seasonal twist on the classic tequila cocktail. Total Time: 15 Minutes

    INGREDIENTS:

    Mint Simple Syrup:

    • ½ Cup granulated sugar
    • ½ Cup water
    • Handful of fresh mint

    DIRECTIONS:

    1. To make the mint simple syrup, add the sugar, water and mint to a pot, bring to a simmer, remove from the heat and let stand until cooled. Store in the refrigerator overnight and then strain out the mint. Keep covered in the fridge for up to a week.
    2. To rim the glass, add some sea salt to a shallow dish and add the zest of one lime. Mix together. Run the edge of the cut lime along the rim of a margarita glass and dip the rim into the lime salt. Refrigerate for a few minutes to set.
    3. Add the tequila, lime juice, orange mixer, and mint simple syrup to a cocktail shaker.
    4. Fill with ice and shake well.
    5. Strain into a chilled glass and garnish with fresh mint.
